PANGEA IS POWERFUL

Pangea is powerful mix of cultures and rhythms on a mission: Bring people together to one heartbeat.  Members hail from Madagascar, Iran, Italy, Chile, and the Bay Area and bring their particular nuances and knowledge.   Their songs can travel from New Orleans to the Andes to the Middle East to Rio de Janeiro all in a contagious blend of universal languages that cross borders and unite cultures.

Originally born from friendships made on the soccer field in San Francisco, Pangea’s roots are deep in sharing community.  The international Soccer Family, which meets to play once a week for almost 2 decades, brings people from all over the world together to play soccer and enjoy the exchange of culture and, after the game, play music together.  Damian Nuñez, who had recently arrived from Argentina and was studying his masters in music at San Francisco State, thought that music can blend community the same way that soccer does.  And so from that simple notion, in 2007, Pangea Futbol Club was born.
