Congratulations to EVERYONE who participated in last month's extremely successful Read-A-Thon. We smashed our fundraising goal ($4,000) with $6,480 raised, and more importantly, our students actively read over 300,000 minutes in one month! That's an average of over 400 minutes per student! Save the date! In celebration of a successful Read-A-Thon , Friday, March 1st will be Literacy Dress Up Day at TECA! Dress as your favorite literary character.

On Friday, January 25th TECA hosted their first author visit with the incredible Jewell Parker Rhodes . Jewell was personable, inspiring, and really connected with the students. The students were enraptured by her words as she shared her stories and it was evident on their faces that this was a day they might never forget. Give a book, take a book. In support of February's Read-A-Thon , friends of the TECA PTA have generously built (and gifted) a new place for free book exchange. Located just outside of the TECA Library, the Little Free Library is ready for our students' enjoyment. Swing by and pick up a new favorite book, or share one yourself! Announcing Movie Night at TECA on Friday, December 7th , 2018 from 6pm-8:30pm COME WATCH WITH US! The TECA PTA will be providing pizza, drinks, popcorn AND child care. At the drop off you will need to provide your child emergency contact information. There is a suggested donation of $6 per child. Parents have 2 options: 1.
