DISCOVER ALL THE SIMPLE WAYS YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE TO TECA YEAR-ROUND!
There are a bunch of different companies and organizations who have generously partnered with Thomas Edison Charter Academy to donate some of their proceeds to better our children's education. Many of these ongoing fundraisers are happening year-round, and you might even be using some of them without taking advantage. Let's take a look!
The following organizations are currently donating to TECA, find out below how you can participate:
WHAT IT IS:
Each receipt scanned from participating products brings 10 cents to TECA's PTA.
HOW IT WORKS:
Download the Box Tops app, shop, then scan your store receipts. The app will automatically credit your
school's Box Tops earnings online. SELECT EDISON CHARTER ACADEMY.
WHAT IT IS:
Amazon donates 0.5% of the price of eligible AmazonSmile purchases to TECA.
HOW IT WORKS:
Families can go to www.smile.amazon.com and type in Thomas Edison Charter Academy as your charity. Then make sure to shop through www.smile.amazon.com for all Amazon purchases and proceeds will automatically go to TECA.
WHAT IT IS:
Primary donates 10% of each sale to TECA AND new customers get 25% off their first order.
HOW IT WORKS:
Use our school’s unique link every time you shop:
www.primary.com/school/thomedison and 10% of that sale goes directly back to our school. Plus, new customers get 25% off their first order with code: THOMEDISON. Primary sells many items that fit your
child's uniform.
WHAT IT IS:
Sports Basement donates 10% of the profits of each "Basementeer" purchase to TECA AND gives you a 10% discount on your purchase.
HOW IT WORKS:
When families sign up for the "Basementeers" program ($25 for a lifetime membership), tell the cashier that you are supporting Thomas Edison Charter Academy as your charity. Then, every time you shop, you will receive a 10% discount on your purchase and an additional 10% of profits from your purchase will go to TECA.
WHAT IT IS:
Online Shopping Program that donates a percentage of your purchase to TECA. Percent donated varies by retailer.
HOW IT WORKS:
iGive is a new platform for fundraising via online shopping at nearly 2,000 retailers. Whatever you can’t find on Amazon you can likely find here – Target, Walmart, Madewell, Athleta, Gap, Airbnb, Dell, Apple, health & beauty products, hotels, car rentals, etc. Percent donated varies by retailer. For ease of use, recommend installing chrome extension www.igive.com/index.cfm/button
WHAT IT IS:
eScrip donates up to 5% of your purchases (made with affiliated store cards and credit cards) to TECA.
HOW IT WORKS:
Families can go to www.escrip.com and sign in their store cards (SaveMart, FoodMaxx, Lucky's, Cal-Mart, Mollie Stone's, see more at eScrip website) and credit cards. Then up to 5% of your purchases using those cards will be donated to TECA through eScrip. You can track your earnings for TECA on the eScrip website.
GIVE BACK TO SCHOOLS (OFFICE DEPOT/OFFICE MAX)
WHAT IT IS:
Office Depot "Give Back to Schools" Program donates 5% of purchases at their stores toward store credit for TECA for free school supplies.
HOW IT WORKS:
When families shop at Office Depot or Office Max, tell them the school name or ID # (70014053) to have 5% of the value of your purchase credited to TECA for school supplies.
WHAT IT IS:
Good Eggs give 5% back to TECA. New customers get $20 off. We'll earn a $150 bonus if 10 new families try Good Eggs for the first time, and an additional $350 for 20.

Some companies will match donations and work hours of volunteers.
